ABOUT US

After more than 25 years of successful presence in the APIs segment of the pharma industry, as the businesses matured, the think tank at the ISHITA group felt a need as well as an opportunity to vertically integrate and move towards downstream finished dosage formulations.

To meet this end, a newly constructed state of art formulation plant, meeting WHO-GMP requirements, was acquired under the aegis of “ANVI LIFESCIENCES (P) LTD” (a group company) at a fully developed urban centre at Mehsana in North Gujarat in 2008. The facility was commissioned in 2008 and its products are already being appreciated for the quality and efficacy.

Presently, the plant has capabilities for manufacture of tablets, capsules and dry syrups. The sections for other dosage forms including liquid syrups, injections and ointments are under development and are likely to be commissioned in a sort span of time.

THE GROUP

The genesis of the ISHITA group in 1972 was the result of the entrepreneurial spirit of Mr. Jagdish Agrawal, who set up a reactive dye manufacturing unit in Ahmedabad. Buoyed by the growth of its first venture, the group made its maiden foray in the pharma sector in 1981 by setting up a small Bulk Drugs Plant at surendranagar in the state of Gujarat, to cater to the need of pharma industry for Quality Products. The Bulk Drugs Industry at that point of time was highly dependant on costly imports and the growth was not easily achievable. But ‘ISHITA’ continued to achieve excellence in Quality of its products using innoative technology, and cost effective processes developed by in house R & D.

Today, as a result of its relentless dedication to quality. ISHITA has gradually formed a vertically integrated industry chain covering drug intermediates, Active Pharma Ingredients (APIs). excipients and finished dosage forms. It has 3 manufacturing facilities located in the state of Gujarat 2 for APIs and drug intermediates (at Ahmedabad and Surendranagar) and I for finished pharmaccutical formulations (at Mehsana).

THE PEOPLE

ISHITA has been founded and promoted by Mr. Jagdish Agrawal, an M.S. (Chemical Engineering) form the University of Florida, USA. He has more then 35 years experience in the chemical and pharmaceuticals industry and is widely acknowlwdged as an expert in this field.

The overall vision and strategy of the group is formulated and guided by highly qualified professionals from various fields including Mr.Prakash Rastogi(ex-MD, Clariant India), Mr.Govind Gupta(MD, Indusa Technologies) and others.

CONTRACT MANUFACTURING

ANVI is presently undertaking contract manufacturing for domestic and multi-national pharma companies on third party manufacturing or loan license terms. Moreover, it is also marketing its own branded range of products in selected markets. Its products have been well accepted both by pharma companied as well as medical professionals. ANVI has now geared up to offer CRAMS (Contract Research and Manufacturing Services) model to overseas clients from regulated markets.

OUR FLAGSHIP COMPANY

Incorporated in 1992, ISHITA DRUGS & INDUSTRIES LIMITED (IDIL) is the flagship company of ISHITA group. IDIL is a public limited company, listed on the domestic stock exchanges (BSE and ASE). The setting up of IDIL was a major landmark in the history of the ISHITA group and is even today a key growth driver for the entire group.

IDIL is an ISO 9001 certified company by Bureau Veritas. It has also been assigned a credit rating of SE2A by D&B, indicating high performance capability and high financial strength (D-U-N-S Number 65-018-0359.

IDIL is engaged in the manufacture of various Activa Pharma Ingredients, drug intermediates, fine chemicals and excipients. It has a state-of-art manufacturing facility, in terms of reaction capabilities, quality control and environmental safety. The plant has been designed and constructed to meet GMP norms. The plant is regularly audited and approved by various regulatory authorities as wella s leading pharma companies, who are our customers.
